Positions that can be applied for

Position: Journeyman Carpenter

Description: Carpenter that has obtained Journeyman Certification (or, "Red Seal") by a recognized institution, and has at least 5 years experience working in the industry as a Journeyman Carpenter.

Requirements:  Tool package; See below for specific items needed

 

Position: Carpenter

 

Description: Individual who has at least 5 consistent years of proven experience (or 10 seasons) performing Carpentry duties such as:  Foundation & Framing, Roofing, Siding, Stairs and Handrails, Finishing including installation of windows, doors, cabinets, baseboard, trim, window sashes etc.  Familiarity with the use of 'Peel'n'Stick, Solar Tubes and Rebar, as well as other industry-standard materials & their specific purpose, such as Rain-screen and insulation, hardy-plank, vinyl and wood siding.  Able to work independently or as part of a team, with little or no supervision and have the ability to perform duties as instructed to do so.

Position: Carpenter's Helper

 

Description: Individual possessing work experience and knowledge of carpentry duties.  Must be able to measure and cut material precisely and efficiently as requested.  Fast learner with problem-solving capacity to work in a team environment.

Position: General Labourer

 

Description: Individual possessing work experience and knowledge of construction-related duties.  Must display a mature attitude and work ethic, using common sense and attention to detail.  Fast learner with problem-solving capacity to work in a team environment with capacity to perform many different tasks as requested in a timely manner.

Equipment Requirements

Requirements for ALL Applicants

All applicants need to have the following equipment when working on any of our WCB-based work sites: 

  • Steel-toed work-boots

  • Hard hat

  • Hearing Protection

  • Eye Protection

  • Canister type respirator

  • Valid driver's license
